Interakt Review India 2026: Plans, Pricing & Wati vs AiSensy

Last updated 30 October 2026.

Interakt is a WhatsApp Business API tool from Jio Haptik, made for Indian small businesses and D2C brands. You use it to send WhatsApp offers and order updates, reply to customers from a shared inbox and run simple chatbots. This review explains what each plan really costs in rupees, with and without GST, what you pay per message on top, and how it compares with Wati and AiSensy.

Your Interakt bill: plan fee plus every message

  • Plan fee: Growth ₹2,799 and Advanced ₹3,799 a month, plus 18% GST (Growth becomes ₹3,302.82). Paid yearly, Growth is ₹26,399, about ₹2,200 a month. On monthly billing Starter (₹999) is Instagram only; Interakt’s pricing page shows WhatsApp Starter as “Not Applicable” monthly but lists it at ₹3,499 a quarter and ₹11,999 a year. Seen 30 October 2026.
  • Every message costs extra, taken from a prepaid wallet per delivered message, before GST: marketing ₹0.949–₹0.970, order and delivery updates ₹0.140–₹0.160, OTP and replies ₹0.127–₹0.129.
  • Messages decide the bill. For our example shop (3,000 marketing, 2,000 update, 500 OTP and 3,000 reply messages a month), Growth paid yearly comes to about ₹80,626 a year with GST. ₹41,928 of that, before GST, is messages.
  • Growth is the entry plan for most WhatsApp sellers: it adds the catalog, WhatsApp Pay and a basic chatbot. WhatsApp Starter exists only on quarterly or yearly billing.
  • Replies are no longer fully free. From 1 October 2026 Meta gives each number 1,000 free service messages a month. Interakt does not say whether it passes those on, so ask before you sign up.
  • Shopify stores buy Interakt through the Shopify App Store, where the listing showed plans from ₹1,997.96 a month (seen 30 October 2026).
  • No free plan and no refunds. The 14-day trial includes all features, and the subscription auto-debits until you cancel, so cancel before the trial ends if you are not continuing.
  • Some older Interakt help pages show different prices (older quarterly figures, for example). Ask for a written quote.

Our verdict: Interakt is one of the cheapest ways for an Indian small business to start on the official WhatsApp API. Growth, the entry plan for WhatsApp, costs ₹2,799 a month + GST (seen 30 October 2026), and its message fees are only about 10% to 12% above Meta’s rates on marketing, OTP and replies. For most shops the bigger cost is the messages, not the plan. Starter (₹999) is Instagram-only on monthly billing, so most WhatsApp sellers start on Growth; Advanced (₹3,799 a month) adds branching chatbots and calling. Look elsewhere if you need a free plan to test (AiSensy has one), heavy AI chatbots, or published prices for everything: Interakt’s own pages contradict each other in places.

Interakt plans and prices, with and without GST

Interakt shows its India prices “+ taxes”, so 18% GST is added to your bill. Paying every quarter saves about 8%, and paying yearly about 21%. All figures below are Interakt’s own listed prices, seen 30 October 2026; only the GST columns are our arithmetic.

PlanMonthlyMonthly + GSTQuarterlyQuarterly + GSTYearlyYearly + GSTYearly, per month

Before this check our table used quarterly and yearly figures worked out from the discount percentages. Interakt’s listed prices are slightly lower for yearly Growth (₹26,399, not ₹26,870) and Advanced (₹35,999, not ₹36,470), so use the listed figures. The Starter row is the odd one: monthly billing is Instagram only, but quarterly and yearly billing show a WhatsApp Starter price. If you only need broadcasts and order updates for a small list, ask Interakt to confirm in writing which Starter features apply to WhatsApp before you pay ₹3,499 for a quarter.

In plain words: Starter is Instagram only on monthly billing; on WhatsApp it is sold only by the quarter or year, and most shops start with Growth. Most shops that want customers to browse products, pay or get automatic answers inside WhatsApp will need Growth.

Per-message rates vs Meta’s

On top of the plan, Interakt charges every delivered WhatsApp template message from a prepaid wallet. The rate depends on the message type and your plan. Meta’s own India rates from 1 October 2026 are shown for comparison; the gap is Interakt’s margin.

Message typeStarterGrowthAdvancedMeta’s rateInterakt markup
Marketing₹0.970₹0.958₹0.949₹0.863110%–12%
Utility (order and delivery updates)₹0.160₹0.150₹0.140₹0.11522%–39%
Authentication (OTP)₹0.129₹0.128₹0.127₹0.11510%–12%

OTP to international numbers₹2.807₹2.772₹2.747₹2.497110%–12%

Rates are per delivered message, before GST. Messages that fail or are cancelled are added back to your wallet at the end of the day, according to Interakt’s FAQ. Interakt suggests keeping at least ₹1,000 in the wallet. Enterprise customers get messages with no markup. For how Meta’s pricing works across all providers, see our WhatsApp Business API pricing guide.

What changed on 1 October 2026

  • Replies are no longer fully free. Meta now gives each business number 1,000 free service messages a month, then charges ₹0.115 each. Interakt lists ₹0.127–₹0.129 for service messages.
  • Utility messages inside the 24-hour window are charged. An order update sent while the customer is chatting with you now costs a utility fee (₹0.140–₹0.160 on Interakt).
  • Click-to-WhatsApp ad chats stay free during Meta’s free entry point window.
  • Billing in rupees: Meta is moving Indian accounts to INR billing by 31 December 2026. Interakt already charges your wallet in rupees.

What a small shop pays in a year

Example: a shop sends 3,000 marketing, 2,000 utility, 500 OTP and 3,000 service messages a month, and pays yearly. We assume the first 1,000 service messages each month are free (Meta’s rule).

Bar chart of the yearly Interakt cost for a small shop before GST, listed prices seen 30 October 2026: Growth ₹68,327 (₹26,399 plan fee plus ₹41,928 message fees) and Advanced ₹77,333 (₹35,999 plus ₹41,334), against ₹37,282 at Meta rates alone. Starter is not shown.

StarterNot modelled: WhatsApp Starter has no catalog, WhatsApp Pay or chatbot, which this shop uses
Growth₹26,399₹41,928₹68,327₹80,626₹6,719
Advanced₹35,999₹41,334₹77,333₹91,253₹7,604
Meta rates only (no tool)₹0₹37,282₹37,282₹43,992₹3,666

Message fees are similar on every plan (₹41,334–₹42,630), so the plan you need decides the bill. Moving up from Growth to Advanced saves only about ₹594 a year on messages at this volume, much less than the ₹9,600 higher yearly plan fee. Pick Advanced for its features, not to save on messages. If Interakt bills every reply (no 1,000 free), add about ₹1,550 a year.

Shopify, Sales CRM and AI Agents

  • Shopify stores: Interakt’s pricing page says the Shopify integration is “only included on Shopify plan”, which you buy through the Shopify App Store (the listing showed plans from ₹1,997.96 a month and a free trial, rated 4.3 from 234 reviews, seen 30 October 2026; we reported US$ plans from $21 on 28 October, so the listing appears to show your local currency).
  • A second Shopify app, Interakt’s WhatsApp sales channel app, lists a free plan and paid plans of ₹3,900.79, ₹4,852.20 and ₹9,418.97 a month (seen 30 October 2026). Check which of the two apps your developer is installing before you compare prices.
  • Sales CRM is a separate product at ₹2,499 a month with 5 sales agents; each extra agent is ₹499 a month (₹1,377 a quarter or ₹4,790 a year). It is not available for Shopify stores.
  • WhatsApp AI Agents cost ₹2,499 a month with 100 AI messages, then $0.011 per AI message. The page also shows the add-on at $74.99 for Growth and Advanced; confirm the rupee price before buying.

Wati’s India pricing page now shows rupee prices (Growth from ₹2,199 a month billed yearly, seen 30 October 2026). On published numbers Interakt is the cheapest of the three for a small team, mainly because every plan includes unlimited users. AiSensy is the easier way to test for free. For a closer look at those two, with monthly bills worked out, see our Wati vs Interakt comparison. Wati suits teams that want Instagram, TikTok and calling in one inbox and are happy to pay in dollars. More options are in our WhatsApp Business API providers in India guide.

Your first month on Interakt: where accounts get stuck

The plan price is the easy part. What decides whether you are sending order updates in week one or week four is Meta’s side of the setup, and Interakt cannot speed most of it up.

  • The number. Use a number your customers already know, but decide first whether staff still need it in the WhatsApp Business app on their phones. Ask Interakt how it handles that number before you connect it; moving a busy number in the middle of a sale week is how replies go missing.
  • Business verification. Meta checks that your legal name, website and documents match. A GST certificate in one name and a website footer in another is the most common reason this drags. Fix the footer before you apply.
  • Templates. Every message you start, from an offer to a delivery update, needs an approved template. Write your order-update, COD-confirmation and abandoned-cart templates in the first week and get them approved before you plan a campaign around them. Templates sent as “utility” that read like offers get recategorised as marketing and billed at about ₹0.95 instead of ₹0.15.
  • Sending limits. A new number cannot message your whole customer list on day one. Meta raises the daily limit as you send good-quality messages, so start with buyers who ordered recently and are likely to read, not a cold list of everyone who ever enquired.
  • Quality rating. Blocks and “report” taps lower your number’s rating. Two badly targeted broadcasts can cost you more in lost reach than a month of Interakt’s fee. Send fewer offers to people who asked for them.
  • Support. Some Shopify App Store reviews complain about slow replies from support (seen 30 October 2026). Use the 14-day trial to raise one real ticket, such as a template rejection, and time the answer.

What Interakt doesn’t make clear

  • Whether Meta’s 1,000 free service messages a month are passed on to you.
  • Whether 18% GST is added to wallet recharges as well as plan fees (budget for it).
  • The rupee price of the AI Agents add-on on Growth and Advanced, and Enterprise pricing.
  • Older Interakt help pages still show different quarterly prices and replies at ₹0.35, and the pricing page’s own code still carries an older set of figures (Growth ₹2,499, Advanced ₹3,499 a month). The prices shown on the page on 30 October 2026 are the ones above. Ask for a written quote.
  • Which Starter features apply to WhatsApp on quarterly and yearly billing.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Interakt cost in India?

On 30 October 2026 Interakt’s pricing page lists Growth at ₹2,799 a month and Advanced at ₹3,799, plus taxes; Starter (₹999 a month) is for Instagram only, though a WhatsApp Starter is listed at ₹3,499 a quarter or ₹11,999 a year. With 18% GST Growth and Advanced are ₹3,302.82 and ₹4,482.82 a month. Paying yearly costs ₹26,399 or ₹35,999 before GST, about 21% less than paying monthly. WhatsApp message fees are extra and come out of a prepaid wallet.

What does Interakt charge per WhatsApp message in India?

Interakt’s India rates per delivered message are: marketing ₹0.970 on Starter, ₹0.958 on Growth and ₹0.949 on Advanced; utility ₹0.160, ₹0.150 and ₹0.140; authentication (OTP) and service ₹0.129, ₹0.128 and ₹0.127. Meta’s own India rates from 1 October 2026 are ₹0.8631 for marketing and ₹0.115 for the others, so Interakt adds about 10% to 12% on marketing, OTP and service messages and 22% to 39% on utility messages.

Does Interakt have a free plan or free trial?

There is no free plan. Interakt offers a 14-day free trial with all features, and says it charges no setup fee. Subscription and message charges are not refundable once paid, so cancel before the trial ends if you don’t want to continue.

Is Interakt cheaper than Wati and AiSensy?

On plan fees for teams, often yes: Interakt Growth is ₹2,799 a month with unlimited agents, against Wati Growth at ₹2,199 a month billed yearly for 3 users and AiSensy Basic at ₹1,500 (seen 30 October 2026). On marketing messages Interakt’s ₹0.949–₹0.970 is also below AiSensy’s published ₹1.09. Wati’s India Growth rate card lists ₹1.0357 per marketing message. AiSensy has a free-forever plan for testing; Interakt and Wati do not.

Which Interakt plan should a small business choose?

Starter is for Instagram on monthly billing, and a limited WhatsApp Starter is sold only by the quarter or year. For WhatsApp, choose Growth if you want a catalog, WhatsApp Pay, a basic chatbot, both WhatsApp and Instagram, and more than one user role. Advanced is for teams that need branching chatbots with API calls, automatic chat assignment and calling. Shopify stores install Interakt from the Shopify App Store, where separate plans apply.

Are WhatsApp replies free on Interakt after October 2026?

From 1 October 2026 Meta gives each business number 1,000 free service messages a month and charges ₹0.115 for each one after that. Interakt’s rate table lists a service price of ₹0.127 to ₹0.129, but its pages do not say whether Meta’s 1,000 free messages are passed on. Ask Interakt support before you sign up, and budget for paid replies if you send many.

Can I get a refund if Interakt does not work out?

No. Interakt’s FAQ says subscription and message charges are not refundable, and the plan auto-debits until you cancel. Use the 14-day trial for one real job, such as getting three templates approved and sending one order update, and keep only about ₹1,000 in the wallet until you are sure.
