ScaleSaathi’s free tools are built for Indian small businesses, freelancers, HR and payroll teams, and shop owners who need a quick, reliable answer. There are two kinds. The money tools work out salary, GST, gratuity, PF, HRA, TDS, leave encashment, margin and discounts, and make everyday documents such as GST bills, delivery challans, purchase orders, salary slips, quotations, experience and offer letters, rent receipts and UPI QR posters. The business decision tools help you pick a website platform, hosting, accounting software, a CRM, email marketing and other services before you spend money. Every tool is free to use, needs no sign-up and runs in your web browser. The guide below the tool lists shows which one fits your task.

Start with the decision you need to make

These tools give a private, practical starting point for common business and website decisions. They do not ask for an account, and the answers remain in your browser unless a tool clearly says otherwise.

Use a result to narrow the market, not to make a purchase automatically. The best choice still depends on the exact plan, current pricing, terms, support and the work your team can maintain. A calculator can reveal hidden cost; a selector can identify the type of solution worth investigating. Neither can replace checking a provider’s live terms or the responsibilities that sit behind the purchase.

Payroll and tax calculators

Indian salary offers are usually quoted as CTC, which includes amounts such as the employer’s EPF contribution that never reach your bank account. The salary calculator follows the rules for FY 2026-27, the first year under the Income-tax Act, 2025. The leave encashment calculator uses Section 10(10AA) and the ₹25 lakh ceiling from Notification 31/2023. The PF calculator uses the ₹25,000 monthly wage ceiling notified on 17 September 2026 (it was ₹15,000 before), and the gratuity calculator follows the Code on Social Security, 2020, in force since 21 November 2025.

Business documents

Bills, payslips and quotations made in a spreadsheet often miss a required detail. The GST bill maker is laid out around the invoice particulars listed in CGST Rule 46. The salary slip generator shows PF, ESI and professional tax lines. The UPI QR code generator builds a standard UPI payment link that customers can scan with their UPI app. The experience letter generator states the designation and the exact period of work, with the tenure worked out for you. The offer letter generator writes a job or internship offer with the CTC in words and an optional salary breakup that totals itself. The HRA calculator applies Rule 2A for FY 2026-27. The TDS calculator applies Act 2025 s.393 rates, thresholds and no-PAN rules for FY 2026-27. The rent receipt generator prints matching monthly or yearly receipts with Word download. The delivery challan generator follows GST Rule 55 (not a tax invoice). The purchase order generator builds an India PO with GST split and revision (not a tax invoice).

Website and online store

Advertised plan prices rarely show a site’s real first-year cost. These tools estimate a realistic rupee budget and suggest a sensible platform and hosting type.

Business software

Software is easy to sign up for and hard to leave. These tools suggest a suitable category for accounting, CRM or project work, and total your recurring subscription cost.

Marketing and email

Email on your own domain, newsletters and social posting are separate jobs with separate pricing. These finders match each to your audience, sending pattern and brands.

AI and courses

Whether you want an AI assistant, a course to learn a skill or a platform to sell what you know, these tools narrow the options by goal, format and budget.

How to turn a result into a better decision

  1. Use realistic inputs. Answer for today’s team, workload, budget and ability to manage the tool—not for an ideal future business.
  2. Read the recommendation as a starting category. It may point towards a hosted builder, a simple CRM, a lean email setup or a larger system. It is not a promise that one named provider is right for everyone.
  3. Choose a short list. Compare two or three plausible options using their current pricing, limits, export rules, support and renewal terms.
  4. Check one normal workflow. Create a customer follow-up, publish a page, send an email, reconcile a payment or place a test order. The tool deserves consideration only if that work becomes clearer.
  5. Record ownership before purchase. Note the account owner, recovery email, renewal date, payment method and data-export route in one place.

What these tools are not designed to do

They do not provide legal, tax, investment, compliance or provider-specific technical advice. They cannot see an organisation’s full contract, existing data, customer commitments or internal skills. For purchases that affect statutory records, major contracts, sensitive information or a large annual commitment, use the output as a briefing note for the appropriate professional or decision-maker.

ScaleSaathi keeps editorial fit ahead of affiliate commissions. If a result indicates that you should keep your present setup, choose a simpler plan or wait until the process is clearer, that can be the best decision. The goal is not to make every visitor buy something. It is to help them avoid a costly or unnecessary purchase.

Browse all tool categories for a wider research path, or download the Business Toolkit if you want to score a shortlist and track recurring costs.

How we build these tools

  • Rules from official sources. Tax and labour figures come from official sources such as the Gazette of India, PIB, CBIC, the GST Council, EPFO, the Labour Ministry and the Income Tax Department; UPI details from NPCI and RBI.
  • Dated checks. Each money tool page shows when its facts were last checked. All eighteen were checked on 22–23 October 2026.
  • Tested maths. The money tools’ figures are checked against a separate reference calculation before they go live.
  • Your data stays with you. We checked the code of every tool on this page: it does not send what you type over the network.
  • No sales push. The eighteen money tools carry no affiliate links. The business tools may link to providers, and those links are marked as sponsored. Always check a provider’s current plans and terms yourself.

Frequently asked questions

Are these tools really free? Do I need to sign up?

Yes. Every tool here is free and none asks you to create an account.

Is the information I type sent to ScaleSaathi?

No. The calculations run in your browser, and the tool code does not send your inputs anywhere. The GST bill maker, salary slip generator, quotation maker, experience letter generator, offer letter generator, delivery challan generator and purchase order generator can remember details such as your business name and logo in your browser’s local storage on that device only, and each has a button to clear it. The website itself uses analytics and cookies as described in our privacy policy.

Which GST rates do the calculators use?

Since 22 September 2025 the main GST rates are 5% and 18%, with a special 40% rate for a few goods.

Does the salary calculator use the latest income tax rules?

It uses the rules for FY 2026-27, the first tax year under the Income-tax Act, 2025, which came into force on 1 April 2026. The standard deduction for salaried people is ₹75,000 in the new regime and ₹50,000 in the old regime.

What is the new ₹25,000 PF wage ceiling?

A notification published on 17 September 2026 raised the monthly wage ceiling for PF from ₹15,000 to ₹25,000. Employees contribute 12% of wages, and the employer’s 12% is split into 8.33% for the pension scheme (EPS) and 3.67% for EPF.

How is gratuity calculated now?

Under the Code on Social Security, 2020, in force from 21 November 2025, gratuity is 15 days’ wages for each completed year of service, or part of a year over six months. Fixed-term employees become eligible after one year of service, on a pro-rata basis.

Can I use the GST bill maker if my business needs e-invoicing?

Businesses whose aggregate turnover exceeds ₹5 crore in any earlier financial year must issue e-invoices with an IRN from the GST invoice registration portal. A bill maker PDF does not replace that.

Is the UPI QR code approved by NPCI or my bank?

No. The generator follows NPCI’s public UPI link format, but it is not approved by NPCI or any bank and it cannot confirm that your UPI ID is real. Make a small test payment before printing.

Do the business tools recommend brands because of commission?

The business tools suggest a starting category, not a guaranteed best product. Some result pages include affiliate links, which are marked as sponsored. Our editorial policy says commission rates and advertiser preference do not decide our recommendations.

Can I rely on the results for tax or legal filings?

Treat each result as an estimate. Your exact facts can change the answer, so check important figures with a qualified professional before filing or signing.
